They haven't done nearly enough with the quality guards they've had actually they got 3 titles and 5 finals and went to the playoffs almost every year during that stretch

I just remember him for being a great scorer and his battles with Miami. He did have a pretty jumper nh

I like my star SG to be a little more well rounded. especially given the price tag that allan houston commanded.

Fair enough. IMO i wouldn't mind houston if I had a scoring PG or a dominating center

He would be phenomenal on the current Bulls, Pistons [without smith or jennings], and he would be better than harden on the rockets

I always felt Houston got the unwanted hate because of that major contract. It wasn't his fault the Knicks gave him that much. If anyone of us was in a situation where our boss was going to overpay us, not one of us would decline.

The underrated tag is why the kicks foolishly over paid.

Allan Houston was soft and fireless, never a leader.

He's lucky he was even able to get to the finals in 99.

I really liked that team with him and Spree.

Don't hear his name brought up too often, he may be underrated I suppose.

I hated that Spree-Houston backcourt. I knew it would fail, Spree at PG? SMH

Now for allan Houston, I think he was the textbook definition of a traditional SG. He scored a lot without dominating the ball, but could go one-on-one if needed, with a silky smooth jumpshoot from anywhere on the floor. I don't think he's underrated though. He's right about where he should be, mentioned sporadically.

that's my favorite player of all time...sold every Jersey I had except that one still holding on too it.

I've seen my boy have Jordan and Pippen frustrated because they couldn't do anything with him on that court.
he was a very underrated passer, perfect example of how stats don't tell you the whole story, Knicks ran Iso-grind it out half court offense if not for that all his career numbers especially scoring would be higher.

Till this very day I still say he was better then Ray Allen, def better then Reggie Miller
