Let's just calm down and wait for it to come out. Nintendo is generally pretty good with bringing out new controllers.

The wii u's controller's reception is mixed and so was the N64's for a very long time and this would have worse reception IMO than either of those twoI think we have 2 other threads talking about this

The Wii U controller is great.
The Wii Mote and the N64 were duds, but only 2 bad controllers in 31 years is pretty damn good IMO.
The Wii U controller is great for SOME games. For alot of games its a cumbersome inconvience.
That's when the pro controller comes in handy. That battery life
I like that pro controller A LOT. It seriously changed the way I enjoyed the Wii U. I had thrown it into the bushes completely until I got that controller. A shame not every game implements it the way i would like to see it. From what I understand, Pokken Tournament requires player 1 to always use the the big game pad controller no matter what. Not 100% sure if thats accurate but if true, thats very disappointing.That's when the pro controller comes in handy. That battery life

Outside of fighting games (Which thewii u barely even has any, plus who plays fighters on there anyway
) and Bayonetta, what games was it really even inconvenient for, let alone cumbersome? I think the controller felt great for all of its other noteworthy games. In a grip of cases, even outright preferable and some damn near a necessity for what the games called for (Mario 3d World, Raymen Legends, Capt. Toad and Xenoblade Chronicles for instance).
The Wii U controller wasn't bad.. but it was unnecessary imo. I think the whole two screen fiasco should've been a 3DS>>>>>>>>>Wii U optional thing rather than drive up the cost. The Pro controller is perfectly fine for most games.
