By not willing to accept that other black people are going to have different opinions, you're causing the division and repelling people away

When they declare martial law and start going apeshyt through our neighborhoods in the act of preserving law you really think sherman or iverson gonna come out in the middle and say listen guys all lives matter.... you really think those cops gonna differentiate?!?

You really think they gonna listen to you??? :coffee:

You chose the wrong fukking side BLM is not firebombing churches and hanging people from trees & you disagree with their tactics?!!? :heh: How's the KKK tactics how about BLM start pulling shyt from their old playbook and sees what happens... BLM is the idea of what happens when the cops take innocent life unimpeded... you really think that all lives matter shyt means something here in america to the white man?!!? :mjlol: That all lives matter slogan is a fukking joke. and you know what even if there was no fukking gang violence or black on black crime at ALL. people will STILL find a reason to blame a black man for all his ills... Looking at the fukking leaves but ignore looking at the fukking ROOTS.... :coffee:

Most of you guys need to come to grips with the fact that a black person can have a differing opinion without being a c00n

Allen Iverson and Richard Sherman are the furthest things from being c00ns

Anyone from PA or Virginia knows AI is a thorough dude
Preaching to the choir my man. These nikkas just wanna get riled up for the sake of getting daps

Regardless of how well you think an athlete may articulate whatever message, they are visible, they are human and are being effected by it just as much as black lawyers, doctors or scientists are. Hearing from whoever on the subject is fine with me as long as you don't put the person on a pedestal like they are speaking for everybody. What black lawyer or doctor do you know with a platform comparable to Carmelo Anthony's? Maybe it should be the other way around in an ideal society but that's not the case.

It's funny how Richard Sherman was #blackexcellence until he decided to fall on the wrong side of the semantical argument. Before that he was giving cacs and c00ns work blah blah blah...now it's all ruined because of the slogan.
.

When other groups are attacked, we hear from their professionals. You see white people, asians, latinos, jews all bringing out their lawyers, politicians, professors etc. etc.

When black people have an issue, you hear athletes make overly general, safe, canned responses that indicate they often times don't understand the whole issue.

We're better than just sports....and yeah Richard Sherman was gotten to, he's playing the "good ole boy" role now ala Charles Barkley.

It's by design that they choose guys like Barkley and Sherman for sound bites, but not a Cornell West or maybe even Neil de Grase Tyson,

Receipts on losing that lifetime contract

Allen Iverson Says Only Source Of Income Is Reebok Deal

Allen Iverson Loses His $32 Million Reebok Trust Fund, Find Out Why • KicksOnFire.com
As I’m sure you already guessed it, Iverson failed to live up to these terms and Tawanna refiled the divorce petition and was awarded everything that was in post-nuptial agreement when the divorce became final in 2013 including the $32 million. In a surprising twist, before the divorce became final, Tawanna agreed to give Iverson half of the $32 million Reebok trust when he turns 55. So I guess it’s not a complete loss.

I know he lost it initially, seems she has given him 16 mil of it back.

Why the hell does everyone need to fuse 2 separate issues together!!!!

Sherman, AI, Jordan, and all of these ent cats, you can address one issue without ALWAYS bringing up others!!!

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, THAT'S WHY I CANNOT STAND THAT fukkIN NAME "BLACK LIVES MATTER". shyt INVITES TOO MUCH DEFLECTION ESPECIALLY TO BLACK ON BLACK VIOLENCE WHICH IS A WHOLE NOTHER ISSUE!

You have to realize some cats are crabs and wait for something like this to happen so they can hate on someone with a "valid" reason. Cats too fickle acting like broads nowadays shyt is seriously sad from grown men.

I think it's some of that too, but a lot of it is just...blindness fam. Emotions are high surrounding shyt like this and it's real easy to lost in the words instead of the sentiment.

When other groups are attacked, we hear from their professionals. You see white people, asians, latinos, jews all bringing out their lawyers, politicians, professors etc. etc.

I never seen a Jew, Asian or Latino lawyer talking about anything...same thing for scientists or doctors breh. Real shyt...I'm open to your argument I just can't think of any examples. For one black folk are unique in our plight so maybe that's why I can't think of any of these race specific professionals that are usually front and center like you're saying.

We're better than just sports....and yeah Richard Sherman was gotten to, he's playing the "good ole boy" role now ala Charles Barkley.

Again, sports figures have the platform, for better or worse...that doesn't mean that's all that we are, but celebrities in this country are more readily available than your dentist.

As for Sherman...maybe he just has a different opinion? Think about his stance and yours and objectively take a look at where the margin is and ask yourself do you have to be a "good ole boy" to make that leap or simply have a different perspective?

The only thing I didn't like about his statement was the propaganda induced notion that BLM is co-signing these military strikes on police. While there are plenty of people (just look on the coli) that are on the fence or even straight up co-signing that shyt, the figureheads nor the protesters on the ground have ever taken that stance as far as I know. It's only been painted that way which is why I fukk with the general sentiment of the movement and the protesters but I'm not standing by it...whether they like it or not they are being used...but that's another thread.

Either way, I think comparing him to Charles Barkley is a huge leap. Barkley actually sounds like he's in OJ territory where he believes in his equality because of his celebrity...he sounds like he's actually being malicious toward blacks at times, it's hurtful.

I don't get that from Sherman or AI, I just don't think they are using the language everybody wants them to use to get their point across.
