reebok probably made him drop the statement or they would threaten to cut his bullshyt "lifetime" contract. i don't know enough about iverson to know what his real thoughts are. everything he has represented all his life and the fact that he was the number one target of white supremacy in the nba tells me he should be/would be about BLM (not the organization specifically) if he was informed on the issues though.
the jordan statement is scary though. now a bunch of uninformed/coerced players are going to come out of the woodwork to make a bullshyt statement. that they either don't believe or have enough knowledge about to comment on because they're advised to. spoiler alert: they're all going to be advised to make pro-police/non-controversial statements that don't say shyt and will be picked apart. fukk ESPN/ABC for perpetuating and pushing for this bullshyt movement. they are castrating athletes who really care and are intelligent to make any comment that isn't media/white friendly.

Look at how people are completely ignoring the context and overall intent of what was said to focus on which slogan he decided to use and in which order to address how he feels about the state of the country.

Athletes with no awareness in social and political issues opinions do not matter and shouldn't be taken seriously.
The only time they are even interested in a issue is when it's a hot button topic being plastered all over the news, if that wasn't the case they would be somewhere doing negro stuff.
The real issue is continuing to let everyone who takes that angle get major attention for it. Like seriously iverson, barkley, sherman, these dudes have no power to change anything nor are they even viewed as some activist among our people, why the hell we care what they got to say? It's like going to auto mechanic for legal attorney advice. They only saying something because some white person who has already had a discussion with them behind closed doors and vetted there opinions beforehand shoved a mic in they hands to fit a natrative. When white people say "all lives matter" it's usually in response to a person saying, "black lives matter", which sounds to me like your belittling the black persons plight. When AI says "ALM", people like OP and websites are gonna just go for the headline "Iverson says all lives matter" to get hits. He could've reworded what he said a different way in my opinion
