How does nas make boring music

half of his catalog is a chore to listen to.

maybe most of his catalog, but i'll play nice.

AI is just a figure. He's not a rap critic and I'm almost sure he doesn't spend time analyzing this shyt. He's a busy man with a busy life, I'm assuming. He probably hasn't heard half the hip hop that writers, bloggers, even people on here have heard.

So his opinion is cool, but doesn't really carry weight with me. We don't even know what his list is based on and why he chose em.

Jordan influenced rap just the same if not more than AI. Do you care who Jordan's top 10 is? It's alright to hear, but you're not gonna look at it as gospel.

Unless you're fatherless.

You're telling me that a full-time basketball player has heard as much hip hop as a full-time rap music critic/A&R?

I'm trying to understand y'all. Do y'all not realize that basketball and hip hop are two different things? They're not mutually exclusive but they still are exclusive.

nah. iverson is hip-hop all the way. not your typical athlete. hes more of a street dude that can ball really well.

jordan didnt influence anything hip-hop. "jordan" and "rap" shouldnt even be mentioned in the same sentence.

Iverson Jersey light-skinned with herpe, still burns somebody slow:sas2:

:ohhh:

i assumed Cam would've been on his list for some reason w/ Pac, 50 Jada, Jay and the likes.
maybe because i kind of always compared them in my own way.

iverson always seemed like one of them oldheads that stopped listening to camron when he threw on the pink, and ended up missing out on most of his best stuff. he prolly thinks SDE is his best tape.

wasnt expecting T.I.
wasnt expecting game either but they prolly got cool at reebok.

Half his list either had Reebok deals,or did a commercial with em:patrice:...So i dont know if he gave some of this nikkas extra credit friend points....Not the typical top 10,definitly has no pattern whatsoever.

beat me to it.

that reebok chit.

nikka discrediting a man with three straight classics

How many rappers can lay credit to that outside of Kendrick and Kanye?

:scust:

So does E-40 have a east coast style cuz he use wordplay? Sorry but wordplay does not=east coast style for me bro...And Luda was arguably the hottest nikka in ATL at the time Jeezy was coming up,so you really cant say that aint no ATL shyt....regardless of where you think Luda got it from I don't remember anybody mistaking Luda or Jeezy for east coast nikkas...You gon need more than that to say Jeezy had HEAVY east coast influence....unless we gon talk about Jay-Z using a bay area style and his HEAVY bay area influence

Just admit you made a over statement with this one,I'll agree on Ross but we gotta stop there, how come you didn't throw T.I in there since he was more lyrical than the typical southern rapper at that time while you was at it.

his style isnt heavy east coast like ross, tip & wayne but alot of his appeal, references, etc sure are.

i agree with what dude was trying to say.

I have no problem with any of them being a top ten list :many:
