Meek Mill was signed to Grand Hustle....thats shows you TI's priorities...

i remember watching that low-budget press conference meek & tip had on tv for the signing.

i had the :childplease: face like "this nicca aint never droppin an album over there".

fam tip did not shadow dro his wack ass beat selection and wack mixtapes put his ass on the shelf.... thats like wayne trying to hide drake.....yes drake is wayyyyy better than wayne...who else gonna sale... mac booney or that white hoe :lolbron: yeah ok gh money makers is bob and tip

drake is not better than wayne, but thats neither here nor there.

wayne & drake are not in the same lane. neither are tip & bob.

when did dro drop these wack tapes? he had a rabid fanbase for years after his album.

TIP was about to put Meek on in a major way but he got locked up...

lets be real.

meek wouldve just been ghostwriter/provider of muscle when tip is in philly.

:childplease:

You dro stans are the worse. He came out with "shoulder lean". The industry is a business if he was to release another hit he would've gotten another album. The game is about doing it over and over and over again. Yea Dro got some shyt but he don't got but 1 hit when you think about it. Meanwhile TIP was becoming more and more of a star he don't have time to make Dro make another hit thats on him if he don't.

rubberband banks was a hit. that entire album was a success. plus dro was stealing the show on those yung l.a. hits and was dropping hot guest verses on down south & east coast rappers' songs.

theres no excuse for him not to have dropped a follow-up. its been 7 years!!!!!

speaking of yung la, wheres his album? he had like a handful of hits and NO ALBUM. now, instead of being a star, hes relegated to being ductape's punching bag. and barely ever even mention him in their interviews. its like he dont even exist now.

Well TIP went through some legal issues. I do think he deserved another album but if he was soo hot he would've did what he had to do.

do what he had to do? its not dro's job to release the album.

and tip's issues didnt stop him from droppin his own chit in a timely matter.

and tip aint the only shot-caller over there. whats the bul name? jason geter? hes gone on record stating stuff like "we're only worried about tip right now".

and where yung la's album at. that niqqa had HITS. and no album. whats your excuse for him?

look how long it took TI to go plat

he had 4 singles out off Trap Muzik and still wasn't platinum

Dro may not have "hits" but the songs on his mixtapes would be hits if more people could hear them.

black boy white boy was full of "hits"

"T.I. protege, Young Dro, announced the upcoming release of his sophomore LP, P.O.L.O. (Players Only Live Once), set to drop this winter, via Grand Hustle/eOne/ Atlantic Records. After his album leaked prematurely in 2008, setting things back, the ATL rapper went back to the drawing board. Three years later, he emerges from the lab … with P.O.L.O. “It’s been a long time coming, and I had to really get focused,” says Dro of the album. “We were releasing my album in 2008, but the album leaked and that took a lot out of me. I stayed busy with mixtapes, club shows across the U.S. and the Grind N Hustle tour. We decided to sit down with Atlantic Records and do a venture with eOne Music and here we are…. Racked up!” Dro’s newest single, “Racked Up”

I mean dudes album leaked, that wuz a big waste of time,I agree with everybody sayin he coulda went gold again had he dropped that album in 2008 cuz people wuz anticipatin his album at that point.....but u know the rap game fickle,u can't wait that long in between albums at the level of artist he wuz, jeezy couldn't wait that long witout folks sayin his career wuz dead and he had actual hits out.......whoever leaked his album fuked em over bad, whether it wuz his team or the label I don't know.

Blackboy whiteboy came out in 2009 and dude had another boost at that point and folks wuz checkin for em again, and he had a single "Freeze Me",it ain't do numbers:manny: I can't say by this time he woulda just gon gold, anticipation just wuznt that strong as it would've been had he had a chance to release his album instead of havin it leak in 2008.

don't slander the TRAPGOD just because your favorite rapper plays with their nose :skip:

Gucci is one of my favorite rappers I don't like dro at all, I'm stating facts breh Gucci was off coke one of his violations when he went back to jail was for failing a drug test he was positive for cocaine

"they say I violated my probation just because I blew
my nose"-Gucci

He's referring to sniffing coke

And this isn't slander lotta cats with $$$ do coke when they party it's really not a big deal

DONT ACT LIKE TIP IS ABOVE PULLING F*CK CHIT. HE BUILT HIS WHOLE BUZZ OFF THE BACK OF MANTI TEO'S GIRLFRIEND ALLEGEDLY SAYING THAT LIL FLIP DISSED HIM.

9 YEARS LATER, AND WE STILL AINT SEEN NO TAPE OR NO GIRL FOR THAT MATTER.

i dont know how what im saying is so shocking to some of you.

rap is a competitive sport
the music industry is cut throat.

put em together and what do you get? its not rocket science.

look at all the f*ck @$$ power moves that these rappers do. blackballing & low-balling other rappers to secure their spots. and whats the easiest way to eliminate competition if you have your own label? sign and shelve them niccas.

exactly.

you cant get a buzz and have hits if nobody can hear anything.

if they put half as much effort into young dro as they put into forcing a gold plaque out of "trap muzik"(), who knows where dro could be right now.

Certz Up ..... Hoezzzz down .....
SHOULDER LEAN WAS THE BIGGEST SONG TO EVER COME OUT ON GRAND HUSTLE Thats a fukking fact!!!! It made triple what it was suppose to
FACT! One song or not you cant tell me the first album didnt exceed its expectations. dude sold a million ringtones in a week! the label made triple what they was suppose to. so all this dro needs a hit is :duck: he has countless hits w/o label backing as well. Aint I peaked #7 in the country a few years ago. Its obvious the label has no real investment in a grand hustle imprint. TI prob has to fught his battles for his own albums nowadays anyway. in the end ima just say Atlantic records just was never good with hiphop acts. They coulda threw a rnb labelmate on his single like trey songz or something. gucci mane beefin with atlantic still . lupe stans had a petition a few years back. no more lyor either. yooung dro at first was was one of rockos artist at first. shoulder lean was blowin up in the A before the qacs at the majors could catch its moementum. rocko did tip a huge favor with that one. the rest is history.
