Interesting. This goes against the narrative that Boyce Watkins was pushing months ago about the Maven business model being about co-ownership. Maven had him and Chuck out in Seattle months ago. I wonder if Boyce is eventually going to sell.

I left the IC slightly before the crash and went full time on to SOHH. I liked IC more at the time but the talk was better over at :hamster: even thought you couldn't post pics or curse. Never went back to IC after the "update" tho

Some good times over there, picked up a lot of good music too

Wow.

I feel actually sad about this.

The IC was my gateway into the world of hip hop message boards. I remember as a youngin browsing the boards during the peak of Dipset/G-Unit (and nikkas would have browser crashing sigs dedicated to dissing either Dipset/Gunit :mjlol:)

As I got older I spent most of my time in GnS....And that was where the real fukkery was. :banderas:

Thats where Akademics got his start. I remember the exposures (Kimi, (I heart Cali <<< the chick had a widely circulated photo of cum on her titties ) Ice Cream Ebony, that crazy Aquafina chick). The beefs (i remember two Harlem posters were supposed to meet at a chicken spot to fight) :mjlol:.

shyt I remember the days when the IC was THE board over Boxden, KTT, and Hypebeast and neck and neck with :hamster:. (side note: didnt you have to have a particular email domain to register with :hamster: for awhile, or am I tripping?)

TBH the writing was on the wall for awhile with the IC. They never recovered from when the site got DOS'd from ***** and took like 3-4 months to come back. The lack of traffic is what brought me to Boxden...and their lame CACness brought me here :ehh:

Bottom line, it really is the end of an era. :mjcry:

RIP Ill Community

(PS: anybody know where that sexy ass Pico Rivera went off to )

Ill Pix was the GOAT, put me on so many bytches and good porn.

Pico Roscoe was from there too. They had much better looking females than the Coli.

Might be a good opportunity for @Brooklynzson to absorb some of their members.

I mean where they gonna go, boxden?:russ:

Yes you're right. It had to be an email with your name in so you weren't creating 20 aliases or something like that , I might be wrong about this but I'm sure when the buildings got crushed I changed my email so my real name wasn't out there for anybody who hacked my account and it banned me instantly cos the email I changed it to wasn't eligible

I might not be remembering all this correctly considering it was like 10 years ago but you're right.

That was my go-to site, esp between 2005-2008.

What killed them was the constant updates of the forums and site. I mean you literally had to wait a year or 2.
