I remember it being a slow night in the music section.. I went out.
Came back in at like 8 the next morning. Sat down, opened a 2/11, opened the IC....
"CAM DISSES HOV GOTTA LOVE IT" 43 pages!
To me though social media lacks certain things that message boards don't. It definitely can't recreate that Wild West feel of early-mid 00s message boards. Plus forums are a way better place for dialogue and intricate threads can be entertaining as fukk plus you can remain anonymous if you choose to. It's not nearly as narcissistic a platform as social media is, I mean who the fukk cares about what you ate or if you found some generic fake deep quote that makes you feel better? Sadly though most of the IC and sohh's best decided to go that route instead because of how much more basic and easy it was compared with forums and the quick notoriety you can gain from being on twitter or IG.
I'd say the posting game fell off mainly because of social media because instead of witty posting or even aliases you have super easy memes that any dummy can use to sound clever. Posting on a forum is an art when done right and I learned that on the IC and sigh respectively.
People too slow and don't got the attention span for a message board.

The upgrade pretty much killed AHH imo... I know alot of posters didn't bother to return afterwards.
Some of the classic moments that stuck with me
- The Biggie/ muffin thread
- The Hell Rell sold 200 something copies of his new album thread. (I made that one)
- American Eagle nikka getting roasted for wearing american eagle and going so far to post his dikk which made him get roasted even worse.
- Jamal lost
_ the gay black male poster that took the grown n sexy sub forum hostage.
_ IHeartCali getting exposed for being a webcam xxx performer.
- Ice Cream Ebony p*ssy looking like a worn out baseball glove.
- The Donkey subforum itself.
- Dj Akademicks (before the youtube fame) posting on the IC and being a lame fukk nikka back then. He used to post his beats and they were wack as hell.
Theres alot more im forgetting but the ILL community was the shyt.
