This. There is a lot of stuff that takes time to build and infrastructure. These white supremacists in office aren't trying to build but destroy. The same goes for all them nuts who talk shyt on Obama due to all the failed executive orders Trump did in his first term. This is a money pit literally spearheaded by white nationalists! Its not meant to be long lasting, just damaging.
I would hate for the house, senate, and Presidency to flip and despite ALL of the bullshyt, the country starts getting restless because rebuilding and relitigating takes longer than throwing bombs and shyt and watching it crumble. I heard an economist (prof Richard Wolf) basically break it down this way:
When a country is getting immigrants, the country the immigrant came from shouldered the burdens of feeding that person, educating that person, and healing that person when sick until they got to working age. Immigrants are then working age adults at the peak of their productive years who can fuel your economy as workers and consumers.
These Immigrants are also paying taxes.
So basically, America is saying
"The billions of dollars you generate in value every year for the companies that hire you? We don't need it! The tax money that you pay that goes into the government coffers? We don't need that! The deficit will vanish somehow even without that money! The billions of dollars you generate for our economy when you spend money? We don't need that!"
The only other country in recent history that tried to deport millions of its own workers was Germany. How did WW2 go for them? Their country was split in two after being bombed to oblivion.
There's a fascination in america with losers in history. Youve got people who STILL think the south could have won the civil war and who are trying to rehabilitate it's image. Youve got people who still rock with nazism which is a LOSING ideology that led to the destruction of the European empires and created billions in debt. Theres a certain type of moron that sees that shyt and thinks "yeah, but maybe it will work this time" and that kind of person has infested every branch of government. It's fukking disgusting.
People need to also understand that Republicans don't care about hypocrisy. They have a vertical moral system. If someone is in power, then what that person does is free from criticism because that power is theirs to do whatever they want with. They get to abuse it. So for example, if two people are murdered, one by the police and one by a civilian, the civilian is in the wrong because he's not been vested with the authority over life and death that the police officer has been given with his gun and badge. It's not wrong to kill an unarmed person inherently, it's only wrong when a person from the wrong social category does it.
This is why they won't turn from Trump. You can't tell them "he said he'd cut government spending and instead he's increasing it" because in their view that's his right and because they have 100% trust in him, they can convince themselves that losing their healthcare, decent roads, hospitals etc. Is worth it because the president has their interests at heart and whatever he chooses to do with his power is correct because he's in the position to do it. It's part of the reason they don't call out child abuse in religious communities but then fixate on "the woke left" trying to groom children while they support a party where a literal pedophile was speaker of the house for YEARS.
