Frank need to give up playcalling. Im not impressed.
I dunno....he won the NFC title and the NFL title with BOLD, solid playcalling. He doesn't have nearly as many nor enough talented skill position players in Indy right now to make it all crack on that level. Give him more athletes and I'm sure alot of his play-calling prowess will come to bear.
I'll concede that the Colts won the turnover battle (obviously) - and I do give their defense credit for it, as well as the number of sacks they got - but the Eagles controlled the time of possession, had more first downs, threw for more yards, rushed for more yards, and the defense was able to hold the Colts to field goals in the redzone more than once. You can’t explain all of that away with WRs dropping passes. The Eagles outperformed the Colts in most aspects of the game.
...not to mention that, both times Carson turned the ball over, it gave the Colts field position on the Eagles' side of the field. So it's not like they drove up and down the field on those drives, both of which ended in field goals. So REALLY, if we're going to play the "what if" game (e.g., as dude states, "if the Colts WRs don't drop the touchdowns, we win")....well, if Wentz doesn't throw that pick (7th Eagles drive) and/or fumble (9th Eagles drive) on the Eagles' side of the field both times, then the Colts don't get the ball on the short side to even manifest chances TO possibly score TDs (or kick FGs). In FACT, since we playin the "what if" game, if Carson doesn't fumble the snap on the Eagles fourth drive, when they were goal to go, they would have scored for sure instead of kicking a field goal because they had driven down the field quickly on that drive and Wentz was 4/4 and Josh Adams had two carries for 26 yards on that drive...they were on a roll and in a groove)

Regardless, it's all pettily argumentative, as none of it actually matters after the fact. Great game by the Colts defense, taking advantage of Carson's rust and our offensive futilities as of late with a gameplan that focused on stopping our strengths. And the media needs to put Derious Leonard in serious DROY discussions, kid is wicked.
Good win, #byrdgang , much to discuss in our season thread.
