Last night I proudly wore my Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity hat to the Lalah Hathaway concert/performance. After the show, I met the mother of Ms. Hathaway, and gave her my hat in honor of her late husband, Brother Donny Hathaway. It was a gesture of love. In the picture of Ms. Hathaway wearing the hat, I see love and pride for her father and for our dear fraternity. She is not an Alpha nor is she pretending to be. I am glad she is a
