I've never done the Keto diet, but I have done a diet where I was in a mild state of ketosis all the time. I had to keep my carbs under 80 grams a day. The first 2 days without carbs n sugar was terrible- constant hunger, headaches, feeling jittery and tired at the same time, couldn't focus at work. But once that ketosis hit, I got NO hunger, energy was great, mood was great, and weight came off pretty quickly.

You know that you have hit ketosis/fat burning stage because you feel cold all the time and you get a funky metallic taste in your mouth.

Did u still go to the gym?

what was your diet?
I didn't go to the gym my first few days. After I hit ketosis, I went to the gym in the morning- quick 5 minute cardio warm up and then focused on lifting heavy for about 45 mins. I think I threw up from lifting weights one morning though.

Diet: All my carbs came from the milk I used in my protein shakes. I ate 6 times a day, every 3 hours, mostly lean meat, protein shakes, and healthy fats. Grilled meats, egg whites, a little bit of avocado, very low on condiments. No dairy. Only H20. I would put half a chicken bouillon cube in hot water and sip on that in between meals if I felt hungry.

Some people have a really bad reaction to the sudden drop in carbs (I'm talking about bad stomach issues and creation of stones), if they are going from obese BMI to normal. If you aren't that overweight, it shouldn't affect you as much. To me, once I hit ketosis, it was tougher mentally than physically. I would advise you to join a ketosis diet forum or other low carb forums and use that for support, especially if you have people around you that don't understand it.

I might share my bodyspace profile one day if I make enough progress.

Beware, there are trolls in their forums (just like here), lots of newbies who are half committed and give up within a short time but want to doll out faulty advise. Start out by searching for a few keto threads first before starting a new one. Track your progress!

If you don't know timberwolf already, check out any of his posts or profile timberwolf's BodySpace - Bodybuilding.com Dude is legendary.
