Google "CCIE" and "RHCE"... don't worry about the experience part....you don't need it.........some will probably come in here and recommend the A+ or CCNA..........skip over those and don't waste your time with them.

Breh, it don't work like that. You can have all the certifications in the world, but if you don't have the experience, you're not gonna get hired.

Check out the IT thread in the higher learning forum. Lots of info in there. You gotta figure out where in IT you wanna be. You wanna be a developer, engineer, administrator, project manager, etc? Then you have to decide what area you wanna specialize in.
It's a lot more complicated than passing a cert then making 6 figures. If you hustle hard and bust your ass 150k/yr in 5 years is doable. 10 years you can reach 300k it is you're the best of the best. But its not a sprint, it's a marathon and it takes dedication, planning, and patience.
The route I took was A+, MCP, CCNA, CISSP, CCNA Security, then CCNP Security. Was gonna do the CCIE Security but decided to focus on my business ventures instead.
