That will never happen to any comparable degree. Other conferences are not that corny. You didn't see Northwestern going nuts in basketball because OSU, UofM, IU, and MSU were beasts. The SEC popularized that kind of corny shyt.

With the current system, you want your conference to be a power. Maybe the chants are over the top. But y'all kill me saying rooting for your conference is asinine. Because it's not. Ask the ACC. All you've heard for the past decade is conference coaches and officials saying that they need to fare better in bowl games and OOC games. Now the ACC is going ape shyt due to this game tonight. That is until either Clemson pulls a Clemson or NC State beats FSU.
