Pretty much. I learned that in college. Back in the day I wanted to be an entertainer until I got a taste of the types of characters that populate that industry. Not my cup of tea... to say the least. All the women are hyper passive agressive, never genuine, attention whores and above all total weirdos (not in a cute or cool way). All the dudes seemed to be into dudes.
Not only that, I learned really fast that it's way better to be entertained than to be the entertainer. I also learned that talent is at the bottom of the totem pole. You're at everyone's mercy. The writers, the producers, the director, hell even the editor... ugh. It's best to be the dude in the suit making all the money.
Basically.
Everyone from my childhood that went to an arts High school or whatever is either an insecure, attention craving whore or a gay dude who came out the closet in HS.
