They rushed him back because they think he's a big deal. But what did he do for that Survivor Series buyrate last year? Do tell..last I heard? It was damn near embarassing and that was with your other TSC lover homie friend in CM Punk. Didn't get the ratings putin either. When he was champion without football, he was barely hovering at 3.0. The entire show and roster aren't pulling their own weight. Blandy is having monster drops in segment losses. Just like Fandango and everyone else except for Bryan and Punk or Dusty Rhodes segments.
Cena is not the man. They just say he is. The numbers don't back that up and never really has except for the merchandise. Nexus drew. Then that fukked that up. Punk vs Cena did slight numbers but didn't move the chain. They were at the 2.5 area last year with Punk/Ryback/Cena closing PPVs last year before Rock showed up and the damn rating skyrocketed to nearly a 4.0 in one week.
Exactly: They rushed him back because they think he's a big deal. And not just think but KNOW he's a big deal. Cena is The Man to the WWE, which was the point of my post. Something you seem to have missed. Or just ignored because you don't care for Cena. He may not matter to you but he does to those in power. And he matters to those who really matter in this day and age: the kids who love him and tune in weekly to see him. The same kids who get their parents to buy his merch and tickets to the shows he's on. And not just kids but adults too. Yes, bringing Cena back so soon is a panic move by the WWE but it's a panic move supported by the fact that they know that he's the top draw in wrestling today.
And as for Cena not getting the ratings putin either... Who cares about ratings in this day and age outside of people inside the WWE? People who use them as a tool to defend their favourite wrestler or shyt on someone they hate. Just like you constantly do with Cena. Ratings do not matter and have not mattered for a long time, except to the likes of tv producers and executives. And to you, seemingly. Ratings were in the 2.5 area last year? Cena barely got a 3.0 as champ? That doesn't mean shyt to me. All that matters to me is the likes of Punk, Bryan and Heyman putting on great matches and promos week in, week out. And as for Rock nearly skyrocketing the rating to a 4.0 in one week? That means absolutely nothing to me when he was out there repeating the same old tired catch phrases and huffing and puffing his way through matches. Cling to your ratings. Let them keep you warm and safe at night. I'll keep watching for what really matters: the wrestling.
