If you ever watched Money & Violence people complained that they couldn't understand the Jamaicans and needed subtitles. A lot of black people aren't in areas with a large West Indian population so they're not familiar with the language. Easier to use some Jafaikins.

Being a canadian resident has already desensitized me hearing fake island accents, so hearing the jamaicans accents in the show was not a problem for me lol

As far as the accents. nikkas just be complaining. They used to do jafaican accents all day in the 80s n 90s to make it more palatable to the mainstream audience. Lol. Unless nikkas wanna watch subtitles thru the whole season.
