so how many of you broke nikkas got 20k to invest in some bullshyt like this?
That's just one option, but even though it's an outlier, the general value of a custom pc rig is much higher than that of a console. For the same price as it takes to buy an xbone or even a ps4, I can build a rig that's twice as powerful as either one. Not saying there are no benefits to console gaming, but a pc can potentially do everything that a console can, but not vice versa.
