You should cut off access to threads for guests? More people (especially members from SOHH scared to make the jump) will feel obligated to join because they can't read discussion. Let them see the forums and what not but don't let them see what's going on in the threads.

And if for anything else, don't let the lurkers feed off the porn links in JBO

You're right. I guess it's just about how the admins want to look at it. The registration is so much easier on here than it is on SOHH so people should have no problem registering even if they do it just to lurk more. We have 376 guests right now.
