He has to catch two trains to get there but is that a lot if its only for one day and someone else is giving you a lift there and back for the remaining week?

If he will harbour malice over you taking the opportunity to work from home, cut him off.

It's not a good sign.

4 day week bruh, not work from home. Work 4 day in a week and get paid the same amount.

So I messaged him and told him family wants me to spend more time with them so I'm gonna do the 4 day week.

nikka is talking about me waiting for him to pass his probation so we can start the 4 day week together

Wtf :martin:
The fact that you even have a lie shows me you have no backbone. Tell him to figure it out. He’s a grown ass man.

Charlotte by way of Chucktown What
So I have been working in a company for close to 6 months and am expected to pass my probation.

My friend got banned from driving due to speeding and asked me to sort a job out for him at my company. This would help him out because I can give him a lift to work.

I managed to sort this out for him and he has been working here a couple of weeks.

The issue now is that my company is going to trial a 4 day week which I obviously want to opt into.

However, my friend is not eligible for the 4 day week because he is still on probation and he has kind of hinted that he doesn't want me to take the 4 day week.

If I'm off for the one day then there is no one to take him to work. Part of me wants to take the 4 day week regardless because I feel like I have already done enough for this guy and its his fault that he is banned from driving.

The other side of me doesn't know if I would be a good friend if I was to put my interests first. My friend basically said he might just end of leaving the job if worse comes to worse.

What side are you on?
You're a good friend for even thinking about the situation. If he can't get with the shift you're going to move towards, maybe he isn't a friend you need. :yeshrug:
