I've made a statement similar to this. Illmatic was a great album, but college radio in my area played Sun Rises in the East a hell of a lot more than Illmatic tracks. There were no less than 3 tracks form SRITE in rotation on WZMB every week. They were playing songs from Sun Rises before they were official singles...Yea idk how illmatic turned into the be all end all album.
