You made your move, how did nothing happen? How did she reject you and what did she say/do? I think at this point you should charge it to the game. If she ask you why you don't want to hang out as much you tell her cause you're interested in her in another way and she made it clear she didn't want the same thing which is cool. If she asks you why you didn't make a move earlier just say the truth. When she says she only wants to be friends, shut it down but in a nice way/no resentment. The best game is no game. Just keep it real with her.
