Am I the only one that feels March Madness is overrated?

It's getting less "exciting" as the years go on as with college basketball as a whole.

Don't think i've sat and watched a whole regular season college basketball game from start to fininsh in a few years to be honest with you

Outside of the "unpredictable" wins and seeing how close your brackets are to the actual results, shyt is unwatchable to me. Last year was especially horrendous.

Then again, outside of a few years I've never been a fan of college bball. :yeshrug:

Probably the most overrated thing in all of sports.

The whole appeal of march madness is seeing how many games you picked correctly not watching these obscure, badly played, 50-56 score games.

Also add to the fact that no one goes to any of these games.

It's about college ball. If you aren't into it, then of course you would think it is overrated. I think the entire NASCAR scene, professional bass fishing, and whatever other redneck sport is overrated.

The tournament sucks now if you were a fan of college bball in the 90's. The talent just isnt there. People dont give a damn about it now other than just for gambling purposes.

Maybe the last watchable tourney year was like 2008, before that it was bad for a few years as well.

:stopitslime: The GOAT tournament is fine.

This dude gets the big picture.

Gigantic bracket of teams across the nation facing off, mano-a-mano. Major teams show up to prove their mettle. Minor and mid-major teams try to knock them down and create their Cinderella story. All these kids put in 100% and don't get paid a dime like NBA players. It's awesome.

Talent fluctuates year to year. Guys leaving before graduating for a pro contract is a problem, but whatcha gonna do?

I love it but I'll be honest I get a little burnt out after the first weekend. By the time of the championship game I almost don't give a fukk anymore.

that said, somebody has to be in these NBC /CBS offices thinking "why not show Euroleague games live?"
I doubt it. The big problem is public viewing interest + advertising dollars. Trying to get ad revenue for WNBA games must be like trying to milk a mouse to fill a gallon jug.

I find it boring if there are no possible upsets. Yeah, it's nice for Univ of Kentucky to make it in year after year but its nice to see unknowns, like VCU, make it to the Final Four.

NBC Sports Network started showing Grey Cup playoff games and college hockey. I don't think it's impossible to show at least their Euroleague playoffs which would happen during our day.

Grey Cup? Okay, that's cool but in reality, they would need to look in the bushes to get the Nielson ratings on that.
