How often do y'all do something that is 100% boring to you in your free time when you have other things you can be doing that brings you joy?

Reading isn't "boring"

Every society, in the history of the world, have advanced through reading.

No one thinks you soon be reading a 2,000 page epics.

I'm not the biggest fan of fiction books (outside of comics) and usually like to read historical type of books.

But, there is nothing commendable about not reading. It allows you to be a "slave" of the those who know better.

Cool, you don't find books entertaining? That's understandable. But, you never plan to ever read a book, in circumstance ever? :smh:

The last book I read was Jay Z: Decoded like 3 years ago

I have no desire whatsoever to read a chapter book, novel, etc ever again

Call it what you want, reading books isn't something I want to do in my free time:manny:

Books > Movies. People use to tell me that all the time and I would like " Yeah ok". Then I started reading the Twilight books....:ahh: and the movies leave so much detail out..

Also if its a good book, you dont pay attention to the pages/time.

You are mentally weak and will die a psychological death if you continue to persist in this fukkery.

books can get you to see other ways of thinking, and not just put up a picture on a screen with actors following a predictable script for under two hours. movies are no replacement for books, since books actually tell expanded stores and go into histories which are longer, and more in depth. and of course they can expound heavily on real situations and what people have went through. a lot of knowledge is not on tv or on the news. if you want to gain some insight, and get into deeper methods of understanding this world and other people, reading can help do that for you. get into their processes and see what makes things tick.

read some history, read autobiographies, study the bible or other holy books, and learn more about the world around you, what was before you, and whats to come if you want to open your eyes some more. gain different perspectives. or dont, but thats why other people do it.

There are too many people with that sentiment, it's cool, everyone has their thing, but fukk....Hardly anyone I know reads for fun, from college graduates, to hs dropouts my boys wife is one of the only ones, I read a lot and it's frustrating I have no outlet lol...At least I can get my music/tv/movie fix on here, books I have next to nothing. I started taking classes to at least be around some people who read/write, which has worked out pretty well.
