So you're not going to answer?

Lol Im glad that people are accepting of their stupidity and ignorance... Easier to separate yourself :leon:

What's stupid about not doing something you enjoy doing when you're trying to enjoy yourself

How often do you watch lacrosse on Saturdays?

I love reading. If you go online you are reading 90% of the time so I don't get why that same energy can't be put into reading a book. I can tell most people on here don't read though. They lack comprehension skills, critical thinking and the ability to understand context clues.

Ummm, I thought we agreed that you would not post in any of my threads?

I haven't read a full book since elementary. I've maintained an A in all my English courses all the way through college graduation. I write and review documents now in corporate America. As long as one stays reading something, you can do well, it doesn't have to be a book.

diversity of material leads to better skills

reading is not just to get good grades or do good work, it's to make you think differently

cant imagine a life of reading and writing mostly corporate documents tbh. sounds awful

You see how this apparent point got ignored because everyone came charging through on their High Horse

 how can you miss the point of this thread

No one is talking about developing skills or learning. I'm talking about entertainment.

Reading books is not something that entertains me.

Watching sports
Drinking
Working out
Chilling with friends
Reading the-Coli

That's entertainment to me. Reading a 400 page book about anything, IS NOT

because you're not good at it. because you don't do it.

outta shape people dont enjoy exercise because they're not good at it.

you are mentally out of shape, of course you wouldn't be entertained by literature.

i guess i'm the idiot for expecting you to realize the connection without me explaining it :heh:

If you don't enjoy reading, then you're probably wired to be satisfied with ignorance and stupidity, or you have ADD... I mean think about it, reading requires you to use your brain to form an image instead of your eyes... It also allows you the opportunity to learn new subjects and ideas that you otherwise would ignore. You're pretty much just ignoring all of these opportunities to expand your knowledge and/or work your brain a little more for entertainment.

If you have no desire to do so, then great, more dumb people walking around, easier to separate myself from the pack. I hope more and more people adopt your way of thinking :manny:

lol I actually played Lacrosse for a couple years in high school... So if a good college game is on tv on a Saturday, ill watch it...

Exactly... the guy doesn't really understand the benefit that reading has on your brain function. He is accepting of it... Let him be :manny:

I'm currently in grad school, I couldn't get here without being able to read on atleasg an above average level.

I'm not out of shape mentally because I don't read when I'm not required to. That's just stupid.

How are you separated from the lack because you rather read a 500 page back while someone would rather watch a football game?

First off... Not all books are 500 pages... Second... Who says you need to give up watching a football game in order to read?:wtfdraper:

I watch football too. If I have some down time, I read a book. Sometimes i'll read a book while watching a football game(A little more difficult, but it can be done)

and third, my point still stands that I will be separated from the likes of you because I have a bigger appetite to ingest knowledge. My palette of knowledge will be more extensive. Due to reading about different books I now have the abilities to attack many subjects with different ways of thinking. It gives my mind more diversity.

I look back on all of the things that I wouldn't know if I didn't read a book and my :mindblown:

You cant even comprehend what I am saying because you don't really value the things that I value, which is okay:whoa:...

I'm not here to make you "read" more... I am here to encourage you to not read book... Don't change breh... Better for me and people like me:skip:

I agree with OP....Honestly books are archaic. Back in the past that was the best way to convey information and stories. Now with technology we have documentaries, websites, articles, podcast, radio, streaming services and others things to provide us with knowledge at a better more efficient rate than books. Nothing wrogn with reading, but a full 500+ page book is like being punished, its boring and ya mind will wander.

I love to read articles and search stuff, but to sit with a for hours at a time is just unbearable, and to the people that fins this ignorant you are funny
The OP didnt say anything about finding information elsewhere dude, you are giving him a lot of credit :whoa: :mindblown:

And you dont have to read a whole book in one sitting :dwillhuh:

AND doing one (watching docs, reading articles etc) doesnt forbid doing the other (reading books). Actually, its more likely that someone who watches docs + reads articles reads books too- and of course, the converse is true with "i love...LOVE to be ignorant" ass nikkas like the OP
