I used to at people who complained about the order 1886 & uncharted 4 being 30 FPS. don't they understand the effect the developers were going for? they were emulating film, trying to make the gameplay look at cinematic as possible...and 30FPS is better for that.

I used to love playing battlefield 3 at 30 fps, it made it look more "realistic" or at least more "filmic"

I remmeber comparing the gameplay with my brother's (who had a beast rig) running at 60FPS and prefferring my "crappier" 30 FPS version

maybe i'm just a fukking weirdo, I dunno but these framerate wars are comical to me

film is different since it has natural motion blur

30fps is just two cycles per frame on a 60hz display. it has nothing to do with looking more "cinematic"

I enjoy 60fps in racing games but it makes shooters like battlefield feel cartoonish.
