labels aint gotta worry about distribution no more just upload a song and still take huge cuts

nikkas getting fraction of a penny for songs

Aloe Blacc cowrote a song that was streamed 168 million times and only got $4k

exclustivity between different streaming services

streaming is garbage, but that's what the labels pushing nowadays. noboby buying music anymore unless it's your favorite artist. i got all my music on cd & drives so i'm good.

You don't have to download every time, if you are cheap/broke af and have a weak plan it's just to save the shyt on your phone .

Aloe Blacc has to get his situation straight, the streaming companies payout is over 70 % of their revenue. The minimum the rights holders of those songs would get for the worst paying service (Spotify) is 800k, so the other rights holders finessed him not the streaming company. And let's not act like people like Tyga hasn't released CD's and got nothing at all, was CD's wack or was it Birdman/Universal.

i still carry one of these.
my lady pays for spotify and the only time i ever use it is if we are in a car and i haven't had a chance to download something yet that just came out.
there are mixtapes, loosies, freestyles, demos, and unreleased albums that never get put on up on spotify, tidal, apple, etc
real music heads know the deal

the only reason I could see somebody not streaming is of they have a android where you could download music straight to your phone in a few minutes, or if your still rocking a classic iPod or have your music stored in your cloud, or computer.

I've always been proud of my huge music collection on my externals but since I got Spotify last year I never really dl shyt or use my collection. Streaming is one of the best things that had come out.
