Am I the only one who doesn't like their parents?

I love my father's side. They're trini, laid back and loving.

My mother's side are New Yorkers. All they do is talk about everyone's business, judge and complain. My mom is strict, goal oriented, high strung. My grandmother is the same. They all always think that someone is trying to get over on them or disrespect them.

I'm very laid back, I don't take things so serious. Whereas my mom's is focused and has a checklist and deadlines. I take things as they come and it drives her crazy because she doesn't think I'm serious about anything. She's a control freak and her trying to help actually hinders me.

I'm at the point where I just go ahead and agree with her because she always has to be right and doesn't listen anyway.

nah I got a whiteboy type tense(name calling, argumentative) relationship with my mother(my grandma raised me) and don't care for my pops either cause he never really been much apart of my life.
