My mom is cool in doses and I appreciate her much more since I moved out. But I can't live with her. Complains high key about the most pointless shyt all the fukking time and can get very snide and petty when she's moody. Typical female shyt I guess but she can go too far with her words and then act like what she said didn't matter. (god forbid someone does the same to her.) I told her the month before I left that I wouldn't take that shyt from anyone, not even her. We been gucci ever since tho

My dad is one of those type A personality hardass type dudes. I couldn't stand him as a kid but understand a bit more these days since I inherited some of that aggression. But all in all our personalities don't mesh well. I'm a more laid back, hands off type while he ornery, stubborn and serious. shyt is like oil and water. He good people just a lot of the time we interact I come away from it like "this guy man"

I went through a period where I didn't "like " my parents, but as I get older u realize they human with flaws and whatever happened in their past played a big roll in raising me.

For instance my grandfather wasn't really around for my dad so he didn't have a great example on how to raise kids. He tried his best, don't get me wrong sum shyt he did still affects me, but all I can do is learn from it and hopefully I do a better job with my kids.

My relationship with my parents is terrible, uncomfortable and really tense. Feels like I'm on eggshells in their presence. If they needed support, I'd be there for them but I wouldnt voluntarily be around them otherwise. They have supported me and I appreciate that but I hate being around them

People who came up with loving parents generally dont understand this

They have supported me financially and I really appreciate that but they were verbally abusive, harsh, disrespectful, emotionally neglectful, screamed for no reason etc. I dont have much of an emotional/verbal relationship with them and dont want one to be honest. I hate being around them
