Am I the only one who thinks Guru was overrated?

:snoop: I don't know how anyone can hear sh*t like this and not respect the flow the duo

Batman and robin peanut butter and jelly
They both fed off each other
But his longevity in the game his flow his delivery I think is underrated

A lot of people used to guys going commercial rout but how long do those records stay with you:sas1:

Guru made classics

I knew some people would be upset and Im a huge Gangstarr fan. But I really think Guru wouldn't have been shyt without Premo. Premo on the other hand would be a legend regardless

I think it's like the Scottie and Jordan theory Jordan never won any without him. Yet he clearly was the star.

But if you believe primo could take any average joe off the street create same hits and chemistry :francis:

Some of the most simplistic styles at times work best to get point across

But I ain't gone lie he's not top 5 doa

It's no coincidence my favourite Gang Starr record is Hard to Earn. He was damn near drunk on that LP so at times his voice sounded different and he had that extra spark in his delivery.

But for the most part, he's too monotone. Like it's his thing, but it's just too boring for me to endure at times. So I agree with the majority that Premo's beats carried him somewhat. BUT, I don't even think Premo saved his best beats on some of these albums. I don't go crazy over Step in the Arena or Daily Operation tbh (at least as whole albums). I think he saved his best for Jeru's debut lol.
