To me it was more aggressive content on HHID but LIG had the more polished overall feel.

I enjoyed them both.

Actually Life is Good kind of has the sonic nostalgia feel that I was hoping Hip Hop is Dead would have overall.
And the overall focused approach on expanding a central theme to the album and spinning it off into various songs was probably done better on LIG than HHID

That said, I still like HHID and why I kinda argue that even Nas' mediocre disappointing albums actually are still pretty good even if people will dispute that there's more filler and bad ideas. I still think tracks like Money Over Bullshyt, Black Republicans, Hold Down the Block, Still Scheming, Cant Forget About You, Let there be Light, Blunt Ashes , Carry on Tradition have got their worth in some ways

Came in to say this..

LIG sounds like how i thought HHID would sound.

LIG is more cohesive where HHID i sometimes skip tracks or have to be in a mood to play it.. LIG i just play :ahh:

Life Is Good >>>>>>>>>>>

HHID was one of those albums that looked better on paper, but wasn't as good once I listened to it. It has an all star line-up of producers, but aside from "Still Dreamin", "Let There Be Light", and "Can't Forget About You", the rest of the bigger names fell short. Nas's go-to guy, L.E.S. and co-producer Wyldfyer delivered the goods. I also liked the Mark Batson produced "Hold Down The Block". HHID proved that you can't judge how a Nas song/album will sound by the names of the producers he's working with. I remember Nas catching all kinds flack for working with Will.I.Am, but Will.I.Am had two of the best beats on the album ("Can't Forget About You" and "Who Killed It").

With Life Is Good, it was a far more focused album. The production was better and Nas sounded more inspired.

HHID >>>>>>>>>>

Life is Good was one those albums that sounded good at first cuz of the hype of an official solo nas album, but overall the feeling gets stale and meh. The amy winehouse jawn and that one track after summer on smash are like the only replayable tracks for me. Dont you dare say "Stay"

With Hip Hop Is Dead,it has "still dreamin" and "cant forget about you " and half a dozen other classic tracks
