Am I the only one who thinks The Documentary is overrated ?

I actually think game puts decent projects together but his shortcomings are hidden behind his constant artist features. game lyrically is very overated. take away the name drops and constant blood referencing and your pretty much left with nothing.

The production was top notch but every song was basically Game doing his best impression of a different rapper. He still suffers from an identity crisis to this day but it was at it's worst on this album.

I guess that's to be expected when you go from giving lap dances for 5 dollars bills to being a super gangster in the span of a couple of years but it took away from what could've been a great album.

The production on that album was it's brightest point. It most certainly was better than The Massacre.

Personal classic for me. Never witnessed anyone hating on this album.

I never cared for this album all that much. I know even back in 05 everyone was so quick to call it classic and still do to this day but man the incessant name dropping from Game kills about 85% of his discography for me and I really feel like he's a nice rapper but man I can't get past him doing that irritating shyt. Production was nice but they could've put anybody over it and it would've been the same result.

I'm a fan of Young Buck's first and Fif's first but I'm starting to believe this also L. Deez. How can you listen to the Documentary and hate on it? It's at least a 4/5 album.

Love Game but he was spread real thin on that album. You don't really walk away from that album knowin who Game is as an artist cause he's so drowned out by everything else. You didn't really get a feel for his "identity" until you heard him on the mixtapes or until you heard him on Doctor's Advocate.
