R&B am i the only person alive who thinks Beyonce is overrated?

this chick has made a living just catering to the gay community and female fans...she makes what i call "queen anthems" (girls run the world, irreplaceable, single ladies) songs that aren't intended for straight or the general public..

that's cool, but doesn't that make her gimmicky?

i've debated cats about this on and offline and i usually ask them do they sing "girls run the world" and they laugh, but i'm dead damn serious

i dunno...chicks just overrated to me and i don't get the hype

Her celebrity status is well deserved imo, she moves and looks like a queen.

She's an amazing singer, amazing dancer never disappoints her fans with her music and always delivers on a mainstream level

Ok...no.

The chick from Destiny's Child is not overrated. She us actually a superstar so naturally some people have to bare it. No artist is for everyone. And as a queer, casual fan I loved bow down. It's all in ur perspective but she certainly is replaceable. Allusion intended. She is technically the best mainstream singer so I find it hard to hate even if I don't participate. Her fan base is more annoying than her.

I can enjoy Beyonce... in small doses. As mentioned, she has a great marketing team and a strong work ethic. Her voice is nice- nowhere near the Trinity of the 90's (Mariah, Whitney, Celine) but still enjoyable at times. Her music catalogue however suffers greatly. She has always been, to me, more style than substance. Meh.
