:whoa: I'm being serious here

Don't get me wrong, these massacres happening are sickening, but for some reason i kind of feel un-phased about it. I'm seeing people crying none stop but i'm right back to playing black ops.

Maybe it's the media, or the internet, or where i live cause detroit been murder capitol, or the fact that i'm not a parent, but is anyone else kinda feeling detached?

Maybe i'm just in shock. I don't know, shyts weird.

I guess its because it didn't effect you personally. The victims weren't your family or people you know.

Those shootings were fukked up, but I don't do the whole "I'm outraged " white people thing. So that makes me look like an a$$hole to some people. :shaq2:
You might just be on to something, cacs seem to love stories like this

It's all of those things. Worldstar uploads graphic videos of people being killed from time to time, there are other websites like liveleak.com which show pretty graphic shyt. Shootings happening all the time, the meixcan cartels merking people left, right, and center. The wars going on right now. I mean :whoa:

Probably.

When you really stop and put urself in that situation, ie visualising a dude walking into a room and shooting a bunch of unsuspecting little children at point blank range, and thinking about the parents going to pick their kid up only to be told their child is dead, and on top of that it being christmas time and them having their dead kids presents under the tree, etc.

I dont see how you could NOT feel like tearing up at least.

Just like most of the previous posters just stated, you not affected by the recent tragedies so it not a big issue to you to care. It could also be that you mind is somewhere else and you not focus on things that doesn't concerns your thoughts or objectives that you are trying to achieve right now.

its fukked up in a larger context. Some a$$holes would claim that "yo kids die everyday"...but most of the time kids aren't specific targets of a mass murder.

I'm not saying cats gotta be doubled over in tears, but you can acknowledge its effed up, put it in perspective and context.

The media makes me mad with such COMPREHENSIVE coverage of it, new info only comes out perhaps every 2 or so hours so reporting it for 24 hours is redundant. You also have been shown images of murder in america from the time you were born so gun deaths aren't really new for us. Like i said...the shooting itself wasn't the kicker, it was the fact that little kids were a specific target of a murderer...

and of course...."It wasn't supposed to happen in Newtown"...but let me not get into the socio-economic aspect of why its being so reported.

you are not alone. in fact, i'm surprised people are shocked at this when gun violence and homicides are commonplace in this country. you have posters in here that actually have arguments about which city has the most murders and bragging about being from such places where it's considered normal. how can they be surprised at THIS happening though considering that you have folks that seem not to care about anybody lives not even themselves. they act like these fukked up folks have morals and consciences where they'll spare kids and babies. these folks don't give a fukk. the fact that we have folks running around ready to kill you whenever they're mad at something or whenever they have a problem should tell you something. we accept that mentality where we have to hurt other people in order to get our point across instead of going about it other ways BUT look @ the results. we have folks that don't know how to voice their feelings. we have folks that don't know how to manage their feelings. folks tell guys who actually express their feelings, cry, or say they need help to shut the fukk up and quit crying BUT yet folks get surprised when they do things like this? obviously, something is giving way. the kid was fukked up BUT it's clear that his mother has some responsibility to do with this mess. even if dude was 20, there was some problems going on and the folks in his life neglected him instead of intervening.

it actually makes me sick to see the contradiction though. it takes a bunch of dead children learning in school for folks to understand the reality of all this gun talk and violence that folks are entertained by and proud of BUT otherwise, they wouldn't give a flying fukk if it was a grown man that got shot or whatever else. to them it's normal. none of this homicidal maniac, chief keef, gunplay type of shyt is normal. it shouldn't take 20 children to realize that. just 1 person dying over NOTHING should be enough to make folks realize that there's something wrong.

we have folks that actually give props to killers in here going like "that dude is real" because he killed a guy for looking at him wrong BUT they turn around and get shocked at this man killing a kid. they all are sick.
