Am I wrong for liking the Raptors' direction right now?

Admittedly he told me this at 2am so maybe I should have taken his opinion with a grain of salt. That being said, what's stopping us from getting Wiggins in free agency, keeping Ibaka and getting a decent PG to round things out?

Why would you switch Lowry for a worse player who is on more money? :gucci:

Mike Conley is under contract with the Grizzlies and he literally just resigned this past offseason. He's not even a better player than Lowry and they are the for all intents and purposes the same age. Wiggins is still on his rookie contract and will be resigned by the T-wolves he before he even becomes restricted free agent.

I'm not a basketball head. Will Conley cost too much?

Why are you creating a thread like this with little knowledge about the league?

Edit: This is the worst thread on the coli @Reaper of Threads

Were you under a rock when Conley signed the biggest deal in NBA history last summer?

My bad, I know everything about football and some a outer soccer, but little about hoops. I didn't take note of Conley contract. Or maybe my friend didn't even mention Conley because it was so late when we chatted, or if he did, he was mistaken like jailbirds usually are.

That said, what's stopping Toronto from signing Wiggins in FA, keeping Ibaka and getting a decent PG in lieu of Lowry?

Toronto doesn't need Lowry if we can get Ibaka, Wiggins and a serviceable PG in de facto exchange. Wiggins is from Toronto and will be worshipped here if he comes. His promotional opportunities here alongside Drake >>> Minnesota wasteland. So why can't we sign him after his rookie contract is up?

LeBron still got people believing that players give a fukk about going to their hometown teams:francis:

With the new CBA, players ain't moving from that big ass check they can get from staying put.

Stick to stanning Geno my confused brother

Geno starting stats at age 24 are practically the same as Carson Wentz's NFL starting stats at age 24. The same Wentz taken #2 overall, gifted with a fantastic running game in addition to one of the best lines in the league. Oh and Wentz had a better OC too. All this and his stats look about the same as Geno's - TD/INT rate, rushing yards, A/YA, etc.

Stick to basketball, confused brother.

What's wrong with the Ibaka trade
? We get a upgrade at 4 for Terrence, who never lived up to his potential at the 2 anyway. He's an athletic marvel but just never put it all together in Toronto. Accordingly now with Ibaka, we can cut Lowry and bring in both Conley and Wiggins.

Conceivably Raptors could have a decent PG in Conley, freeing up money to sign Wiggins on a max. At the same time, Ibaka causing defensive havoc at the 4. The only thing the Raptors need then is a shooter.
Cut a future hall of famer...one of the best point guards of all time? That's what @Gil Scott-Heroin and @Malta said.
