i'll take the "L" of trying to have a nuanced conversation amidst the delirious ranting

and the "i know nothing of this story but let me weigh in like a ton of bricks with my opinion on white women"
the case is basically about post traumatic stress disorder
i think it was harper's (??) a few years ago
the authors added up all the traumas and disorders
something like 95%+ of the first world population could qualify for PTSD in a clinical sense
that stat was what decided the matter for me
because if everyone has it, then isn't PTSD just a part of life??
anothr "setback" that nearly everyone has to navigate in one form or other
i admit i'm not empathetic enough to sit through people recounting horrors
but i had to face down my own problems with less than 1% of the resources someone like erin andrews would have access to
so i can't even pretend she is an underdog
.. so no,
@Colicat , you arenot wrong
i can't find it in myself to care all that much, either
apparently almost everyone carries a horrific burden around with them
and if everything is traumatic and horrible, then nothing is truly traumatic and horrible
we just have to make the best of things- what is the alternative??
