Knicks Amare Stoudemire could return for second round of NBA*playoffs | SI Tracking Blog
New York Knicks forward Amare Stoudemire, who has missed more than six weeks following knee surgery, could return for the second round of the playoffs, reports the New York Posts Marc Berman.
Stoudemire will start running at full speed this week, and if things go great, he thinks he may be back soon, Berman reports. Stoudemire underwent right knee debridement surgery in mid-March and was expected to miss six weeks. He had the same surgery before the season started, causing him to miss the first two months of the year.
Its unclear how much Stoudemire would be able to contribute after his time out of the lineup. He averaged 14.2 points per game in 29 games off the bench this year, and he may be able to add offense in short bursts for New York.
