If a person wasn't already Amazon corporate material before this, their life is only going to get harder.

Confirmed: Northern Virginia and NYC (Queens).

I actually welcome the move to Northern Virginia. 25,000 additional workers will definitely put pressure on current employers to be competitive with their wages and it seems like there might be an increased push to upgrade the metro to accommodate the influx of people. I'm in MD so it shouldn't affect my rent too much.

All in all, not too bad :ehh:

That 395/295 traffic though :francis:

Shieet... they'll have the Blue Line, Yellow Line, VRE all running through there. All that, plus the already booming housing market in the immediate area, starting with right down Rt 1 in Alexandria. Most of them will have no reason to use those congested areas to get to and from work

I do plan on buying a home this summer between Stafford and lorton. Arlington is far enough where it wont affect and then close enough if I would need to resell I could see gains from the incoming boom. C'mon Jeff

I remember when I lived in Arlington circa 97, townhomes across the street were selling for 80k brand new. Same shyts going for 700k now.

I'm hoping for a similar effect in PwC
Just curious, did you ever get a home?

Amazon built a new warehouse in my home town and nikkas don't last a month cause they be on some slave shyt tracking every little thing you do. Everybody was hyped as fukk about that shyt as it was being built and they started hiring too. Now everybody on my timelines hates the shyt. They literally rather go work at the Purdue chicken or Kumho Tire plant.

fukk Amazon.
