I think the business community is as corrupt as the government so that is no point. We have to have the rules on the books. Saying let's have no rules because enforcement is spotty is bad strategy.
I never said anything about having no rules. I said let’s focus on cleaning up the things that are in place before introducing more regulations and bureaucracy.

So executives knowingly poisoning kids don't need jail time? What do you mean by regulated by liability? Can you give me details on the consequences of that for a company/it's leadership?
Knowingly poisoning someone is a criminal act. The consequences would be criminal prosecution of those involved in the crime and market fallout if the company does survives

How would an executive actually get caught poisoning kids? Most likely would require something of regulation/agency oversight.

No, an oversight industrial complex is something we’d want to stay away from. Shouldn’t be a federal responsibility. Leave that to lawyers, special interest groups and local agencies.

Why? Just cause? local agencies lack the resources to catch a multi-national conglomerate doing dirt.

Why? Because I wouldn’t drive to Washington to fix a problem down the street. Government holds no expertise, just a propensity for nefficiency. Due to the militarization of our police force (which I am not a proponent of), local law enforcement does have the resources to deal with the issue.

Local agencies have the resources to do a water test, your limitations are not the proper measure of limitation
