I don't get the issue. Y'all don't want people to have an opportunity to go to work? What's the problem?
Probably a lot considering one of the Top reasons they went with Raleigh over Charlotte was the lack of qualified local workers.Out of the 50k jobs this supposedly brings, what % do you think are new hires from the population of the new City they put this in? And what % do you think will be existing employees they relocate? Or a group of people they hire nationally with the condition of moving to the new city?
Saying this creates 50,000 new jobs all for the locals is disingenuous
he says it's gonna come down to the dc or nyc metro areas, but philly is a part of neither; it's basically equidistant to both metro areas. and it has a really low cost of living for a major city.I think my city Philly is getting it

I imagine the people saying they don't want Amazon there aren't the people who would get these jobs or work in that industry.
Adding 50k good jobs will benefit most growing cities.

:Cookoutcam2:Or maybe, neither of those cities will get it cause y’all can’t figure out wtf to do with trannies and those bathrooms![]()
So, will Amazon seriously consider any of the Texas cities competing for Amazon's second headquarters? Probably not, unless Abbott and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick take the bathroom bill off the table for future legislative sessions.
