It seems much like gamepass, Amazon Prime is unsustainable and they are forced to raise the price again.

Amazon is removing 4K streaming from Prime Video in April and putting it behind its ad-free tier paywall

The ad-free tier is also increasing from $3 to $5 a month

It makes no sense

Especially when you add the cost to manufacture all the products, prime is burning money away.

Brother, capitalism is just letting private individuals own the means of production. It’s the only economic model that could even give us the convenience of Amazon and its streaming service. If we lived under socialism, communism, mercantilism, feudalism, etc. we wouldn’t have the luxury of hating this decision.

Amazon’s streaming service is the worst of the streaming services and was never worth paying for anyways.

Amazon prime remains the undisputed GOAT and is incredibly profitable for Amazon.

I stopped my Amazon Prime account after they put up the prices last time. As soon as I saw an ad on a film, it was over

Plus they have over a 100m subscribers. How many does Gamepass have?


Once or twice a year they offer me a free month. So I use that and bounce when the month is done.

Amazon Prime will NEVER be profitable for Amazon.

If you have prime then you pay zero shipping. What you save in shipping a year is so much more than the cost of a year of shipping, if you order enough.

Not only that but there are companies that list their own products at a lower price than they do on their own website. If you ordered directly from their website you would pay a higher price plus pay shipping. Instead you can get the same item from them on Amazon cheaper and with zero shipping with prime.

If you know how to price check, you can get shyt for the lowest price on Amazon than anywhere else. Prices lower than Walmart for the same shyt.

You can get it even lower if you set it up for a subscription delivery. Just cancel the subscription after the 1st delivery.

Prime Video just a bonus for me. I already recoup the cost of Amazon Prime just off shipping and lowest product price.
