Straight from Flatbush
I work at the Amazon warehouse
40 min drive Sat and sun 730 am to 6pm
(My full time job wfh)

I live right next to (literally 5 min walk from a dsp hub)

I see that the DSP DRIVERS are outsourced
I don’t really need any benefits because main job provides that

Anyone did the dsp driver for amazon before?

I’m tired of driving every weekend way out to the warehouse looking to see about going the dsp route any pros

Also any wfh part time gigs I can look into on Sat Sunday

:mjpls:
Get your CDL class A and drive long haul for Walmart… make over 100k a year with benefits

So every DSP is different, some are large companies with HR and others are small 1 person owned companies.

The larger companies are going to have stricker rules while the smaller companies will be a lot more flexible.

You do get breaks and have to take at least a 30 minute brake. Amazon monitors this to make sure the DSP is on the up and up. The DSPs offer almost the same benefits as Amazon.

Being a driver is more labor intensive than working the warehouse and you do have to work in the elements. The better the neighbor the better the experience. So pick the warehouse in richest area and stay away from downtown and the hood.

Each company goes out in waves. The largest routes go out on the first wave and the smaller routes go out in the last wave.

It you want to switch between companies it's super easy.

If you want to stay in shape, learn your city and enjoy working at your own pace go for the DSP.

But you can always apply to be a dispatcher at a DSP and get the best of both worlds.

I applied to FedEx once. They said 150 stops a day..... I went up to the warehouse, sat outside, and drove off. I couldn't do it. I already was a delivery driver for an intermodal company. I just wanted weekend work.

If you’re working all the time when will you have time for your partner and kids? A free time to relax?
