Dude I'm working with at my current jobsite lost $250,000 on his divorce. Dude has been making $30+/hr for the last 30 years. Has two pensions and whatever else. His "housewife" of 17 years decides she wants to bounce to a dude she met on a dating app. She got $200,000 out of the deal. The other $50,000 was lawyer fees.
And dude could retire today but has to work another 2-3 years so he can retire as happy as he was expecting.
And he recently married again. But I guess this was has her own business and shyt so
