Amber totally ruined the original purpose of the Slut Walk. It was started because rape victims were being blamed for being raped because they were dressed a certain way. And a cop made a statement saying that women could avoid being assaulted if they didn't dress like sluts. Basically women were sick of victim blaming. Being told not to dress a certain way, or drink to much, instead of telling men not to rape women.
On January 24, 2011, Toronto Police Constable Michael Sanguinetti and another officer from 31 Division spoke on crime prevention, addressing the issue of campus rape at a York University safety forum at Osgoode Hall Law School.[13][14] During the talk, Sanguinetti interrupted the more senior officer and said: "I've been told I'm not supposed to say this – however, women should avoid dressing like sluts in order not to be victimized."[14]
But honestly Amber minimizes the original slut walk. Its more a party and attention whoring for Amber, other slut walks had speeches, women talking about their rape, info on dealing with rape, coping with rape,etc. The pre-Amber rose slut walks were more informative. But Amber has turned it to a party, I just can't take her seriously. At the first one she was on stage crying about Wiz calling her 'just a stripper' and Kanyes '30 showers' comment. But then she publicly announcing having a threesome and wanting Wiz to come on her face.
