Season 3 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Season 1.

After the pilot Season 1 fell off. Season 3 has been piff throughout. CHaracters are smarter, and Lori is, well, "less annoying".

less because of frank and more because of AMC

Actually I think Darabont had a lot to do with it. When they replaced Darabont with Mazzara the dialogue got much better instantly. There's also been a lot more zombie killing this season.

there was more zombies because of a budget increase they received for season 3. season 2, despite high ratings, got a budget decrease. word is AMC is a lso looking to cut the budget again for season 4. which means less zombies, more dialogue.

i like season 3 as well but it's missing that early season 1 walking dead feel. no episode has topped franks first 3 episodes iimo

im really interested to know franks path. there was a lot of deleted scenes for season 2. like check the trailer of season 2, we never got to see the scene with shane running from zombies.

we also missed out on this:

we were supposed to learn that governor killed the people staying in the old folks home.

frank also wanted to make a prequel episode explaining the origins of the tank zombie, and how the military got overran.

Gang violence...
he probably spent too much money on this season. AMC is cheap. they probably have some kiss-ass that has been waiting in the wings telling them he can deliver the same show on a better budget.

Season one is so ill.

Speaking of season one, whatever happen to that black dude and his son that Rick first ran into while he was still in his home town? I figured dude would show up by now or at least give us some insight on him. I liked his character in Jericho.

The way the show is going, he'll come in the scene right after Tyrese dies.

But seriously, they've said that he'll be back at some point.

He was on set at some point this season. Don't know if he has any screen time though
