That’s the play here.
Hedge funds got caught with their pants down with this play. If the DD is correct and we keep holding, HFs continue to bleed, once their assets reaches zero, then the insurance kicks in. The clearing house then needs to balance the books. Their computers don’t give a shyt about price. They just need shares to balance.
Algos can’t find shares at $300? Ok up it to $500. Can’t find any at 5? Up it to $1K. So on and so on.

HOLD!

Most of us here are already at a year and a half![]()
Yeah people are trying to use fundamentals...but this isn't a fundamentals play. Hedge funds are backed into a corner and will pull every trick out of the book to scare retail off.the DD is correct, retail owns the float. theres likely billions of synthetic shares.
the voting results from august 2021 done within two weeks by shareholders proved that 2% of retail investors own 13% of the AMC float. how many shares do the other 98% of retail own? that less than 2% figure is extrapolated from the 4 million retail investors the CEO repeatedly said were invested in AMC.

none of the numbers surrounding this stock makes sense unless you account for the crime of naked short selling.
even without institutions, mutual funds or insiders, does it makes sense that 4,000,000 retail investors would have an average of 129 shares to make up the entire 516,779,000 of outstanding shares? a lot of retail investors have way more than 129 AMC shares.
Same, it's in my Fidelity.APE in my account. Td Ameritrade
Down 40%![]()

This will be a big failure - amc stock will go down as it’s diluted by the ape dilution. This actually is helpful for shorters
