I will stream most shyt, but there's rare exceptions. I don't give a fukk what kind of high quality system you got a home. There's no home theater experience in America fukking with watching Avengers Endgame on IMAX day 1 in a soldout theater

I see your point but I want to add even certain smaller releases or art house films are better in person. I remember seeing Inherent Vice a day after I took shrooms in a very small theatre in Portland where what felt like an entire back row was smoking weed openly in the theater. People were laughing, joking at the right moments, being quiet at the right moments it was a memorable experience you could never replicate at home. I remember seeing Get Out at a packed out $3 theatre in a nearby small town with a mixed audience, you could feel how certain lines and jokes resonated with different sections, people talking shyt, that's special. I used to go to the theater every week in the years before covid, the communal nature of watching a movie in person is irreplaceable no matter what type of TV or projector you have.

They been had this in other countries. No reason a seat up front should be the same price as an actual good seat.

Y’all liked paying full price for a front row seat or one in the corner? :mjtf:

Yes. Homes will never replicate the theater experience to many.
I ain’t gonna lie, me and my girl have seen 6 out of the 8 movies that’s currently in theatres lol

Avatar, puss in boots, plane, Megan, missing and Knock at the cabin.

I love the theatre experience but only cuz there’s a theatre around my way that used to have a bad rep. Back in middle school, we would never go cuz they had old chairs, mice n shyt lol

15 some years later, They got new ownership, new reclining chairs, great customer service but I guess people still think it’s a trash theatre. nikka! 9/10 it’s only 1 or 2 other people in there. shyt is like having your own personal movie theatre
:russ:

So fukk an AMC

:mjlol: "my blue ray 4k HD surround sound collection will never be replaced by
Netflix"

'blue ray':bryan:

You don't understand, it's not about the quality it's about the experience, the people. Watching at home is good too, both are valid but an oled can't recreate when I heard a little kid gasp in complete silence during the lightspeed ram in The Last Jedi. Or even the memories of the trip I took to get to the theater, people lined up in costumes, movies were always meant to be a social medium.
