I'm already thinking about selling my 3080 to some desperate soul and getting that 6900xt

The Nvidia card will still be in high demand and hold the value, because of the encoder, content creators will always prefer the NVIDIA cards over AMD because NVIDIA has too many features valuable to content creators that they AMD card simply don't have.
