What the whole issue about thread title? I know it speculation, hence the "?" at the end. I'm very tech savy. I have a tech degree that specialize in networking. I'm a information sponge and love to read. I'm not taking any sides but you did come acting as if I was trying to stir something up. I posted this for intelligent discussion but it always fails. This was sort of a test based the so called truce made last night. But people feelings are to heavily invested in the stan wars.
I'm not stanning anything here, its just a dumb article that is jumping to all sorts of conclusions and it doesn't add up

Oh you mean the "ported" part. Well obviously that's a misguided choice of words. But that's what I'm saying. You'd rather hold on to that one word, cause it implies a positive about Xbox, than discuss the information in the OP.
nah, its not about just Xbox. If they would have said that about the ps4 it would look just as dumb

Mantle appears to have much in common with the GNM API used in PlayStation 4, offering low-level GPU access while retaining a very high level of compatibility with Microsoft's existing programmable pixel shader language (HLSL). The potential here cannot be under-estimated - much of the optimisation work that is carried out on console versions of multi-platform games can now be rolled out to the PC version too. In addition, there is also the opportunity to exploit AMD-specific hardware features that are under-utilised - or perhaps not even implemented at all - in DirectX.

I personal don't care where it originated and who should get credit for it. Only thing that matters to me is how it will effect the games I play.

Mantle also assists game developers in bringing games to life on multiple platforms by leveraging the commonalities between GCN-powered PCs and consoles for a simple game development process.

Another case of you idiots thinking you know something just cause you can build a computer:heh:
