The Taliban was well funded and well armed. They was getting checks from the high density of poppy that grows there and they were funded by alot of governments. They had anti Aircraft guns too homie. We took losses but we smacked them too. Alot of Taliban switched under ISIL and alot got killed by those same dudes, they weren't respected for losing. Al quieda switched flags too. Same reason.

Iraq:
Alot of dudes we fought and were in charge in Iraq were remants of the same groups. Every military force in the world pays off foreign fighters to flip. Insurgents do the same for citizens to spy. Russia flipped on Germany halfway through WW2.

this is a myth, in that the popular opinion is that the republican guard was on par with the marines or other elite units, nothing could be further from the truth, the republican guard was "elite" because it was LOYAL to saddam, they had plenty of experience suppressing his political enemies, but still had poor training and even worse leadership

when the taliban gets a hold of AA systems, predator type drones, spy satellites, modern tanks, aircraft, helicopters etc. then it would be a fair fight . . . they fight with weapons that came on the scene in the 60s

Mortars, and shyt like that and IEDs. Yeah we done had direct actions losses but if you look at the numbers its way one sided. This is the face of modern combat, this method suits us, our speciality is open ground combat, artillery helps soften what we trying to achieve . We go for the win.
